Soldering Technician
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Soldering Technicians for an opportunity in Marion, MA
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
- Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
- Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
- Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Candidate MUST be solder certified to IPC-610 and J-STD
- Must be familiar with operation of electronic lab equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzers, wave form generators etc.)
- Must be able to build cables and bread boards from engineering sketches and verbal instructions
- Must be able to troubleshoot printed circuit boards to component level
- Must have good problem solving skills
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must have active DOD Clearance at Secret Level
- Must have an Associate’s degree OR 5 years minimum experience.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Experience with underwater vehicles, torpedo and sonar electronics desired
- Experience with RF troubleshooting desired
- Experienced with MS Office desired
