Industrial Welder
Our facility in Lake Zurich is currently hiring for mulitiple Industrial Welders to join our team. We are a industry leading manufacturer of commercial drilling machines all over the world. Pay is from $20 to $30 p/hour depending on experience. Please see below for further detail!
- Follow complext blueprints to perform Mig welding of components in flat, vertical and overhead positions.
- Has performed Mig welding on mild steel, 11 gage up to 1.5"
- Comfortable with positioning and clamping workpieces together.
- Perform quality inspections to assure welded components to detect defects.
- Align parts, using jack, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars and hammer.
- Operate hoists and large cranes to move parts into position. Capable of manually moving up to 50lbs as well.
- Use knowledge to examine blueprints and planned sequence of operation, and applying knowledge of geometry, effects of heat, weld shrinkage, machining and metal thickness.
- Perform tack welded fitted parts together.
- Position and tightened braces, jacks, clamps, ropes and bolt straps and bolted parts in positions for welding and riveting.
- Lay out and examined metal stock and workpieces to be processed in order to ensure that specifications were met.
- Remove rough spots from workpiece, using portable grinder, hand file and scraper.
