Power Supply Technician

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Power Supply Technician with aerospace assembly experience for an opportunity in El Segundo, California.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Operates a variety of advanced computer assisted and computer controlled and manual test equipment to functionally test digital and analog electronic subassemblies, slices, and units or equivalent in accordance with engineering specifications.

  • Works from schematics, test procedures and specifications, data sheets, wiring diagrams, software instructions and verbal and written instructions.
  • Utilizes specialized and commercial test equipment, computers and related equipment to perform manual and automated evaluation, performance and environmental tests on power supplies and power related units. Troubleshoot, using standard or established procedures and methods, hardware and equipment including minor unit manipulations, tear downs, select resistors for installation and performing wire and component checks.
  • Assists in unit diagnostics including rework recommendation.
  • Performs unit retests, special setup testing and extended (time) environmental test.
  • May assist engineering in final checkout and redlining of new test procedures, test equipment drawings, test fixtures and software.
  • Performs test data management activities including data trending and evaluation, collects and documents test data and other metrics, initiates test anomaly reports and makes verbal and written reports as required.
  • Assists with issues involving rework and parts with engineering and manufacturing. Arranges the movement of flight hardware and test equipment.
  • Meet necessary certification as required.
  • Performs incidental related duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Must pass Vision test
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, schematics, engineering dispositions and instructions.
  • Exhibit exemplary housekeeping and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) standards.
  • Maintain clean, neat, organized and FOD free work area.
  • Possess understanding and knowledge of basic computer systems and programs.
  • Must be flexible and able to work independently.
  • Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
  • Must be willing to work any shift.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
