Manufacturing Planner
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Manufacturing Planner for an opportunity in Archbald, PA
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
In this position you will be responsible for planning, preparing, issuing and controlling of production schedules. You will coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Oversees capacity performance monitoring, analyzes, reports and may provide guidance to floor supervisors. To be successful in this role you need to have the experience and flexibility to work with cross functional teams in a matrix organization. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Generates manufacturing work orders using Material Requirement Planning (MRP)planned order requirements as well as generating purchase requisitions for outside process and outside manufacturing services.
Processes work orders and material transactions for non-conformance material dispositions. Interprets engineering changes, implements dispositions affecting stock, work in progress, and next higher assembly.
Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares purchase requisitions.
Interfaces with operating and support groups (Purchasing, Finance, QA, Engineering) to collect data for preparation of schedules and reports as well as providing status reports to internal and external contacts.
Alerts and/or recommends solutions to operating or project management to deviation from established norms.
Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
Keeps management appraised of potential schedule or fiscal problems by tracking, reviewing and evaluating plans and schedules for inaccuracies, inconsistencies or interface/support problems. Analyzes task/project critical path and ensures timely completion.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations or a related discipline.
- Must have a complete understanding of manufacturing planning principles, theories and concepts; 3+ years minimum MRP experience, preferably in SAP.
- APICS CPIM Industrial Engineering Background Lean Manufacturing Principles is desired
- Advanced Excel Skills; SAP MRP systems knowledge/experience; Inventory Control and material handlingknowledgeis desired
- Knowledge of Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS) Elements is desired
