Trailer Mechanic

LAUNCH TransTechs is seeking a Trailer Mechanic for repairs and diagnostics of tractor trailers in Auburn, IN.

Shift: Wed 8:30pm-4:00am

         Thurs. - Sat 4:00pm-4:00am

Pay: $20+ per hour, depending on experience

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair most transmission, engine, electrical, suspension, driveline, HVAC, brakes and air systems.
• Perform DOT inspections.
• Perform open seat inspections to prepare tractor for next driver.
• Perform 90-day lease operator inspections.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in timely fashion. 
• Capable of using all diagnostic equipment and resources.
• Drive trucks in and out of shop before and after repairs.
• Clean and maintain work area on a daily basis.
• Perform basic or minor repairs and inspections on brakes, tires, wiring etc.
• Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers
• Must be able to move equipment in and out of shop.

• Any other duties as assigned. 

Candidates for Trailer Technician Position Must Have Met The Following:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of tractor experience required.
• Experience in the transportation industry a plus.
• Must have a valid Driver's License required.
• Must provide own hand tools.
• Must pass a DOT Physical.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
