CNC Machinist
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking CNC Machinist for an opportunity in Orlando, FL
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works within a machine shop environment.
- Programs Hurco 3 axis CNC machining using controls; sets and operates Hurco CNC machines to produce prototype and production component parts.
- Uses tools, fixtures and machine settings to produce component parts, working to specifications, procedures and engineering drawings.
- Inspects produced parts using various measuring instruments and hand gauges making any relevant tool or work offset changes.
- Supports and inputs to the development of machining processes and tooling/fixture design.
- Liaises with engineering to improve tooling methods and design.
- Uses problem solving techniques to solve machining and process related problems.
- Prioritises workload in order to meet deliverable commitment timelines.
- Experience of 6 ‘S’ and lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Hurco experience is strongly preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
