Fabrication Technician

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Technician with strong hands-on hardware-focust fabrication technic for an opportunity in Orlando, FL

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The position is a hands-on aerospace-engineering hardware-focused fabrication technician located within the Mechanical Engineering RAPID Center.

• The primary job responsibility is to assist in the development of 3-D printed products, model parts and assemblies, in support of internal customers for display, training and development.
• Technician will post process 3-D printed components, maintain equipment and lab space, assemble, paint and modify parts to product specifications.
• Technician will ensure compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures for laboratory operations.
• Requested tasks are verified by and evaluated with the customer and lab lead.
• The selected candidate shall report directly to the Mechanical Engineering Labs Supervisor.

Qualifications and requirements:

• 0 to 3 years’ experience in maintaining, and cleaning mechanical equipmen
• Capable of processing and handling delicate model­type components.
• Capable of following engineering development and design processes.
• Able to work flex schedule, overtime, weekends, etc.
• High School education or Equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance .
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
