LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Assemblers for an opportunity in Owego, NY

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

Focus and ability to work in a fast paced team environment, with attention to quality. Selected members will be required to work closely with others on the team to complete repetitive tasks to support the assembly of a given product line. Selected team members will be assigned to an Assembly position in the Harness/Cable Build Area and/or Production Flow Lines. This will be primarily focused on mechanical assembly skills, soldering, bonding and ensuring in depth attention to the details of building complicated units with a high level of quality and skill.

Must have Mechanical/Assembly Skills and be able to develop scope skills. Ability to read prints/instructions. Good Dexterity and experience working with small pieces of hardware. Must have an attention to details on complete Top Level Units and Cable/Harness Builds.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Must have mechanical and assembly skills with eletronics and microelectronics.
  • Able to read prints/instructions and assemble components from those prints or instructions as well as verbal instructions.
  • Soldirng experience
  • Good computer skills
  • Read blueprints
  • Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
