Assembler - Circuit Board

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Assembler with Circuit Board experience for an opportunity in Clearwater, FL

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

 

Essential Role and Responsibilities:

  • The CCA Rework/Repair Operator is responsible for reworking and/or repairing boards that do not meet the quality standards outlined for the product
  • Uses microscope to verify correct part placement and orientation, manually align parts before soldering and perform post re-flow inspection and touch-up.
  • Must be able to work with a variety of different magnification devices and solder as required while using such devices.
  • The ability to remove and replace SMT components meeting all required quality and time standards.
  • Must be able to remove and replace BGA’s, IC’s, belly-pad parts and fine pitch components
  • Must be able to repair pulled or damaged pads and traces and solder mask defects.
  • Must be able to read instructions and identify standard SMT components.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where some overtime may be required.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time and focus on tedious tasks.
  • Must have basic computer skills and have the ability to use several windows based programs as part of your daily routine.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Technical trade school graduate or associate technical degree preferred, as per management’s discretion.
  • Minimum of three (3) years similar trade experience.
  • Computer literate necessary.
  • Detailed spray painting skills.
  • A positive attitude and dependability is a must for this position.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
