Semi Skilled Mechanic III- ATL

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Semi Skilled Mechanic III for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications:
Job Qualifications: Must be an AMT or higher classification, FAA Airframe & Power plant License required.  Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aeronautics, Business Administration or equivalent work experience highly desired.  Must have the ability to work in a team environment to ensure adherence to the contractual obligations of our customers and repair suppliers. Must have the ability to identify and implement initiatives that will decrease the cost associated with the sourcing process and monitor customer satisfaction.  Must practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:
Job Summary: Responsible for providing work scopes and coordinating repairs with OEMs and/or third part repair suppliers for expendable recoverable, rotable, and key repairable components.  Work with engineers, supervisors, lead AMTS, AMTs, planners, CDMG, CCC personnel, and third-party repair suppliers to develop work scope packages that meet all compliance and configuration requirements on identified components.  Conducts receiving inspections on repaired/overhauled components from repair suppliers and makes components serviceable prior to returning to stock.  Coordinates activities for parts sent to outside repair agencies.  Includes, but not limited to, new repairs and non-stock items, resolving problems and coordinating changes to existing repair purchase orders, making supplier contact, verification of repair invoice quotes. Safety sensitive aspects of this job include general visual inspections of serviceable components and the signing of work documents/records (8130 tags) which will require drug testing of the selected individual.  Implementation of improvement projects such as HPW, LEAN, Six Sigma, and 5S. Will be responsible to support business unit strategies while assisting in the development and implementation of MRO insourcing and repair suppliers' contracts.  Using performance measures will effectively monitor business goals and objectives in supporting Tech Ops strategies.
