A&P Mechanic
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an A&P Mechanic with commercial and regional jet C&D check experience for a Contract to Direct Hire opportunity in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Senior Inspectors, under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, shall ensure that all preventive maintenance, repairs, and alterations on airframe, powerplant, appliances, and propellers are completed in accordance with applicable Maintenance Manuals, FARs, and Company Policies and Procedures.
- Perform Airworthiness Releases for maintenance accomplished on aircraft/engines and appliances
- Perform Required Inspections for maintenance accomplished on aircraft/engines and appliances
- Perform receiving inspections on all parts and materials entering the USA Jet supply system
- Perform the requirements of RVSM Inspections for Continued Airworthiness
- Perform aircraft Weight and Balance
- Perform updating, reviewing, and auditing of Kardex, Spreadsheets, and AMOS
- Responsible to actively participate in Safety Programs and Safety Management System. Required to report all safety concerns in a timely manner. Required to ensure that they and their co-workers are performing their functions in the safest possible manner. Required to follow the standards of the Occupational Safety and Health organization with legal authority at the location at which they are working
- Perform Tech Representation during Aircraft Heavy Maintenance/ Modification Performed away from main base
Qualifications and requirements:
- Three (3) years of maintenance experience on different types of large airplanes with 10 or more passenger seats with an air carrier or certificated repair station.
- Must have experience repairing MD-80, DC-9, or B727 aircraft.
- Current A&P license required (6 months of documented experience within the last 2 years).
- Be able to demonstrate adequate knowledge of and provide approved OJT forms in the following areas:
• Airworthiness Release
• Required Inspection Item
• Receiving Inspection
• Reduced Vertical Separation Minimums
• Aircraft Weight and Balance
• Reviewing/Auditing of Work Packages, Kardex, Spreadsheets, AMOS, etc. - Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
