Experience Emergency Apparatus Technician (EVT) / Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic. 

 

1st Shift Mon-Fri

7am-4pm or 8am-5pm

2 Years minimum exp.

PayRate: $30-$35 ph

Interview process: Phone and onsite. 

 

3k sign on bonus. $1,500 at 30 days and $1,500 at 180 days.

Relo – Conditional and depended on skill level and where they are coming from. This will be on a case by case basis to review.

 

We are currently looking for Experience Emergency Apparatus Technician (EVT) / Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic.  Pierce trained & certified a PLUS. This individual will be responsible for performing a variety of skilled to highly skilled tasks involving minor and major mechanical service and repair of Heavy Equipment, Fire Trucks, Fire Apparatus, Aerial Equipment, Fire Rescue Vehicles and Miscellaneous Fire Equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs maintenance and repairs on Emergency Response Vehicles primarily, Pierce Equipment
  • Accomplish repairs and perform services as outlined in established technical manuals
  • Perform inspection and repair on brakes, suspension, wheels, hubs and steering systems
  • Understand and follow technical manuals, lube orders, wiring and hydraulic schematics utilized during scheduled service intervals to ensure proper diagnosis and repair of vehicles and equipment
  • Perform major repair jobs by disassembling and cleaning parts, removing and installing components, and removing and installing assemblies
  • Utilizes diagnostic tools (both manual and electronic) to assess and evaluate required service/repairs

Background Knowledge & Competencies:

  • Must have certification as an Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) and 2 years Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience
  • Must have current Heavy Truck ASE certifications
  • Must be able to read, understand, and follow technical manuals to ensure proper diagnosis and repair
  • Must have light, medium, and heavy truck experience
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot repair on breaks, suspensions, wheels, hubs, and steering systems
  • Proficient in the use of a personal computer and basic applications
  • Valid Driver’s License-Class B CDL

 

Must have own tools. non slip steel toe shoes and wear mask.
