Heavy Equipment Operator 

LAUNCH TransTechs is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to provide equipment operation services in a Material Recovery Facility or Trash Compactor Transfer Facility. Heavy equipment includes large Articulated Rubber Tire Loaders, and Wheeled Excavators.

Shift: 6AM - 2PM and 1PM - 9PM (alternating shifts every week) Monday - Friday

Pay: $16.00 -$19.00 per hour, depending on experience

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operates a variety of equipment in a production environment, such as loaders, dozers, excavators, forklifts, trucks, tub grinders, balers, skid-loader, conveyor lines, mowers and screening equipment.
• Staff assigned to recycling services sites will also operate specialized equipment, including shredders, raspers, granulators, air filtration equipment, baggers and compactors.
• Assures all equipment fluid levels are in proper working condition and that all safety devices are in the equipment prior to operation.
• Performs minor maintenance and repair equipment on a daily basis including cleaning, greasing and fueling.
• Performs routine manual labor tasks such as grounds and facility maintenance, loading and delivering supplies and materials, and cleaning.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Graduation from a standard high school or GED, plus 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Must be able to pass a standard physical exam.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing and the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
