Machinist
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Aircraft Machinist with aerospace experience for an opportunity in Charleston, South Carolina.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Machinist follows general instructions, reads and interprets complex blueprint drawings and specifications to set-up and machine items to fabricate parts as required. Develops and revises Machine Control Data (MCD) and geometry.
Qualifications and requirements:
Able to bend, stoop, stand, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Must have strong math skills
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
Basic tool, machine operator, and blueprint reading knowledge
Experience with GD&T
Proficient in measuring tools, calipers, mics, bore gauges, tri mics, shadow graph, comparator, mueller gage and all hand tools.
Possess understanding and knowledge of basic computer systems and programs.
Ability stand for long periods of time, and work in elevated and/or confined spaces as required.
Frequent overhead work may be required.
Frequent overtime may be required.
- Must be flexible and able to work independently.
- Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
