Quality Assurance Inspector
1st Shift
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector for a 1st shift opportunity in Parsons, Kansas.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Quality Assurance Inspector tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
Records test data.
Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
May prepare graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.
Performs flat plate first parts and production inspection and supports production personnel in determining conformance of product by using product acceptance media.
Completes First Article Inspection Reports.
Generates MRR Tags.
Qualifications and requirements:
3 years related experience in job function and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mylars and other inspection media
Knowledge of ISO and SPC is a plus
Basic computer knowledge and skills
Ability to use measuring instruments including but not limited to calipers, height gage, and scales
Ability to determine acceptable product versus unacceptable product at inspection stages
Ability to prepare and present “source inspection packages” to customer source inspectors
- Strong analytical and communication skills
Conscientious, organized and meticulous – records must be accurate and maintained
Read and understand internal procedures and policies
Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions
Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook

- Strong attention to detail
Must be flexible and able to work independently.
- Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
