Structures Assembly Mechanic

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Structures Assembly Mechanics with experience assembling sheet metal products for helicopters for an opportunity in Englewood, CO.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES  AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.  Perform mechanical and sheet metal assembly of components using engineering drawings and sketches.
2. Assure that all assembly work meets quality standards.
3. Performs testing and functional checks of assembled products.

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Tear-down, evaluate and repair of returned components.
2. Resolves assembly and documentation problems, reports problems to the appropriate supervisor for assistance, and follows up with all non-compliance issues.
3. Maintains clean and safe working environment.
4. Perform other activities or duties assigned.

 

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

FAA Airframe Mechanics License preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required.

 

EQUIPMENT USED:

Sheet metal shear, hand and power brake, roller, belt sander, band saw, milling machine, sheet metal related hand and air tools.  Employee must provide necessary hand tools to perform duties in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bending, lifting (50 Lbs.), kneeling, stretching, working in tight quarters. Ability to stand and/or sit in one position for long periods of time.  Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.  Ability to perform in a hangar/shop noise environment.  Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
