Structural Design Engineer (Level 3)
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Structural Design Engineer for an opportunity in Wichita, KS.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Apply knowledge of engineering and physical science principles, materials, and tools in a collaborative environment to develop, integrate, document and evaluate flight vehicle structure designs for performance, functional adequacy, cost effectiveness, manufacturability, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Areas of expertise may include primary and secondary structure design, payloads design, weights, and lofting.
Requirements:
5-9 years experience
Candidates must be proficient in the use of CATIA V5 or V6 tools. Proficiency with classical stress analysis techniques is also required. A.B.S. degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (aerospace, mechanical, or civil) from an accredited university is required. Knowledge of fatigue and damage tolerance methods in composite analysis is desirable but not required. The candidates are expected to perform as individual contributors, so lead experience is not required, but it's beneficial for Level 3.
Must pass background check and drug test.
