Maintenance Technician
We are looking for a 1st shift Maintenance Tech for both our Lake Zurich and North Barrington facilities. Start times are flexible from 7AM to 8:30AM working till 3:30PM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, with little to no OT(max of 5 hours). Pay range is from $20 to $30p/hour. Job Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance position performs facilities maintenance and support activities in the production department in support of the department objectives to provide goods and services that meet customer's requirements for quality, quantity, and timeliness.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible to follow clients Quality system, including all applicable SOP's included in the Training Matrix
- Coordinate cleaning tasks in Illinois facilities, including weekly cleaning and scheduled cleaning services
- Daily start and end of shift facility activities
- Monitor and document daily, weekly, and monthly CER cleaning; provides cleaning services as required for cleanrooms in accordance with established guidelines
- Coordinates outside service vendors for scheduled maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, improvement, and other services as necessary
- Perform facilities maintenance and repairs as applicable, basic handyman skills
- Oversee and work with purchasing for general facility supplies such as paper products, soap dispensers, etc.
- Travels between local facilities as necessary to complete all maintenance responsibilities
- Perform all duties in accordance with established safety procedures
- Assist in implementation of safety controls
- Support material handling, including operation of forklift and other related equipment
- Assists in the moving, assembly, and layout of office and production areas as required
- Performs other duties as requested
Qualifications/Education/Experience:
- Working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to communicate effectively to deliver excellent internal customer satisfaction
- Ability to work with multiple vendors to determine the best opportunity for the company
- Vocational High School or equivalent experience
- 2 or more years of facilities support services experience, preferred
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Handyman skills: preferably knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
- Working knowledge in operating a variety of cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners, buffers, and carpet shampooers
- Basic understanding of HVAC and electrical systems to communicate requirements to outside vendors as required
- Good communication skills
- Ability to manage time and self to meet organizational objectives
