Repair Station Lead

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Repair Station Lead candidates with for an opportunity in Burlington, WA

 

Summary

The Repair Station Lead – Seats is responsible for leading the Part 145 repair station line focused on the overhaul and repair of aircraft seating.   

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead team of repair technicians in the overhaul of aircraft seating.
  • Help establish the seat repair area and develop best practices to ensure an efficient and safe seat repair line.
  • Experience with overhauling aircraft seating under CMM guidelines and within TSO limits / constraints.
  • Able to participate in the identification and development of seat repair schemes and component level PMA’s.
  • Demonstrated ability to completely overhaul passenger seats – tear down, cleaning, testing and assembly.
  • Lead team to establish quality standards internal to the line and manage final quality passed on to Quality Control
  • Experience with tracking quality and cost KPI’s and leading the team to continually improve the efficiencies of the line.
  • Ensure that all company documentation (e.g. Production Orders, Inventory Requests etc.) are accurately filled out at the time that each step is completed.
  • Ensure that team job clock ins in SAP are accurately made throughout the work day.
  • Follow all established safety criteria for the work area and raise any safety concerns to Supervisor or Safety Coordinator.
  • Experience with LEAN concepts and continuous elimination of waste.
  • Actively participate in 6S and continuous improvement process to achieve cost and quality targets.

 

SAFETY SENSITIVE

  • The Repair Station Repair Technicians are allowed to perform Safety Sensitive functions as defined by FAR 120.105 and 120.215.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities                                             

Work with Repair Supervisor to provide feedback on employee development and performance, but no direct reporting responsibility.

 

Budgetary Control

Lead team to work within established cost standards.

  • Utilize measuring tools and gauges to ensure product quality and aerospace tolerances.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma/GED.                                           

Experience with repair and overhaul of aircraft interiors, including seats is required – minimum of 5 years.  Demonstrated ability to overhaul passenger seats required.  Previous leadership experience preferred.

 

Language Skills                                          

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

 

Mathematical Skills                                                

Basic Arithmetic abilities.

 

Reasoning Ability                                                     

Ability to problem solve.  Ability to read drawings and attention to detail.

 

Computer Skills                                           

Basic computer skills (MS Office, etc.).

Other Skills and Abilities                                                    

Ability to learn how to read and use calibrated equipment.
