Diesel Mechanic - West Sacramento, CA

LAUNCH TransTechs is looking for Diesel Mechanics to be able to work on various types of diesel trucks and perform all types of repairs with limited supervision in West Sacramento, CA.

Shift: 7 am - 4 pm, Mon. - Fri. with OT opportunities
Pay: $22 - $30 per hour, depending on experience

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs Preventive Maintenance on heavy-duty trucks according to the required scheduled.
• Communication with managers/drivers as to issues with vehicles and discusses preventative techniques that may minimize future repairs.
• Completes all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• All other duties as assigned.

  Qualifications and Requirements:

• The equivalent of a High School Diploma or GED.
• 6+ years of heavy duty experience on trucks.
• Welding very beneficial, but not a requirement.
• ASE beneficial not required.
• CDL beneficial not required.
• Must have own set of tools.
• Must have steel toe boots.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
