Material Handler
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Material Handler for an opportunity in Everett, WA.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages stock of materials, physically and administratively (receiving, labeling, locating items, etc.).
- Completes the packaging and transport all types of products.
- Manages stock of the finished product and other materials and consumables, physically and administratively.
- Conducts loading and unloading of goods arriving and departing from the warehouse area, including rejections and modifications by offloading trucks using forklift and/or overhead crane.
- Make local pickups and deliveries at supplier or customer locations.
- Make up component kits for assembly work using a Bill of Materials list.
- Organize assembly kits on shop floor for production use.
- Control and supervision of the incoming material received for conformance to the Purchase Order requirements and ensuring that they conform to the requirements of quality and timeliness.
- Communication to assembly leads of any factor that may affect the production schedule.
- Reporting and stock inventory control.
- Organize receiving documents, data packages, packing list, etc. for inspection and/or acceptance by the QC department.
- Comply strictly with the rules of Risk Prevention.
- Comply with internal company procedures, and established Quality Management Systems and Environment.
- Application of the 5's tool (housekeeping)
- Identify and pursue continuous improvement. Involvement in the system of continuous improvement of the plant.
- Manage incidents concerning delivery errors and / or labeling errors.
- Assist with some assembly tasks on the Production plant.
Qualifications and requirements:
- 2 years of experience in material handling position
- Strong verbal and written communications skills including the ability to see, hear, and speak clearly.
- MS Excel experience required
- Basic math and computer skills are necessary
- Aerospace experience a plus
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
- Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
