Technician - Quality

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Quality Technicians for an opportunity in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• • Perform in process and final inspection of Photovoltaic Assemblies (PVA).
  • Evaluate of production and test data against product requirements and operating protocols to determine final inspection status of product.
  • Prepare deliverable product data packages as prescribed by product requirements.
  • Perform process verification/audits as assigned.
  • Support Quality System training initiatives.
  • Deploys the Quality Management System as it applies to scope of work.
  • Authority to implement protocols prescribed by procedure.
  • Authority to recommend improvements and take action as appropriate.
  • Authority to stop any process that threatens the wellbeing of any SolAero employee.
  • Authority to initiate Corrective Action when a nonconformance is identified and stop the process when a nonconformance is found.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Some college Preferred
  
• Ability to read and interpret component and assembly drawings.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with flexibility to change in priority.
• Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
• Familiarity with metrology equipment helpful.
• Familiarity with ISO-9001 (AS-9100 exposure helpful).
• Desire experience/previous exposure to Design and Manufacturing Environment and implementation of protocol.
• Detail oriented.
• Team player with ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
• Computer proficient.
• High school diploma or GED preferred. 
• Knowledge of “shop math” including use of measurement tools
• Ability to meet deadlines and use of hand tools preferred. 
• Attention to detail
• Ability to understand and communicate in English at a level necessary for successful job performance.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
