Tool and Part Attendant
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Tool and Part Attendant for an opportunity in Kingsville, TX
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
As the Tool and Parts Attendant for Rolls-Royce, you will be responsible for general stockroom duties in our engine production shop. In this role, you will be working primarily in an inside and environment. You will perform routine and scheduled inventories, issuing and maintaining of engine shop related hand and special tools and required materials and supplies.
- Inventory and upkeep of tool boxes, lockers, wallboards and other containers; reporting, ordering and issuing replacement tools and maintain paper and electronic inventories.
- You will manage the inventory of calibrated and special tools, complete monthly inventories, turn-in, delivery and ordering in accordance with prescribed procedures; the Tool and Parts attendant will also build tool containers and boxes to required design.
- Additional duties will include responsibility of the hazardous material and waste program ensuring proper disposal of generated waste, inventory and issuance of hazardous material on hand and maintaining accurate records and logs of disposal and material on hand
- Performing weekly checks of inventory and stock replenishment to support the Production shop.
- The tool and parts attendant will perform daily issue and maintain stocking levels of PPE and consumable materials such as rags, wire, brushes, tape and packaging material to support production operations.
- When required, the tool and part attendant may assist warehouse personnel to maintain, store, stack or palletize materials in accordance with the storage plan of the site, issue material to customers, remove material from storage and prepare for shipment
Qualifications and requirements:
- Ability to work at least 10% overtime hours, when needed or required and also, available for Service Support on a 24-hour basis, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift, hold and carry up to 50 pounds unaided
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 1+ years’ experience working in a warehouse, or stock room environment
- Previous experience with hazardous material and waste handling
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products
- In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US citizen
- Experience and familiarity with the US Navy tool control program preferred
- Ability to obtain a Forklift license preferred
- NALCOMIS experience preferred preferred
- Experience of working with tools preferred
- Awareness of safety procedures preferred
- At least 1 year of experience driving a forklift preferred
