Quality Engineer
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Quality Engineer for an opportunity in Burlington, WA
Responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and directing development
inspection methods, innovative opportunities, and documentation of new and existing programs and products as assigned within Quality departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in development of requirements for process controls, product inspection, and documented quality system.
- Provides technical support for quality improvements and corrective action.
- Coordinates Procurement quality assurance and supplier management activities including maintenance of the Approved Vendors List.
- Supports the Quality Management System (AS9100, FAA Part 21, FAA Part 145) including internal Quality audits.
- Perform preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, inspection continuity, incoming and final inspections of all items processed by the Repair Station as required.
- Provides technical support for quality control functions including Receiving Inspection, In-process Inspections and Final / Conformity inspections.
- May assist in internal Quality training and related activities.
- Tracks and reports on key organizational metrics including First Pass Quality, Supplier Non-Conformances and others as required.

Education and/or Experience
Associates Degree or Technical Certification in applicable discipline. Candidates progressing towards a degree/certification may be considered. Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing, quality or engineering, preferably in an aerospace environment. Previous inspection experience including use of blueprints and inspection equipment (scales, calipers, etc.)
Language Skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills: verbal and written.
Mathematical Skills
Basic math skills are required including multiplication, division, etc. Ability to work with fractions and decimals as it relates to blueprint reading and specification interpretation.
Reasoning Ability
Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
Computer Skills
Strong computer skills (MS Office, etc.)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Certified Quality Technician or Certified Quality Engineer
Other Skills and Abilities
Previous Quality Management System (QMS) experience including conducting internal audits.
