Quality Supervisor

 

Launch is seeking a Quality Supervisor for a direct position in Renton, WA. 

 

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

 Complete special project assignments from the Quality Manager

 

Keeps the Quality Manager abreast of significant issues or developments identified during Quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation

 

Maintains process performance charting

 

Assesses supplier capabilities and monitors supplier quality performance

 

Review and verifies non-conforming materials and initiating and following up on associated corrective actions as required

 

Ensures that monitoring, measuring, and test equipment is identified and calibrated.

 

Maintenance of the corrective and preventive action processes

 

Investigate customer returned goods and applies the appropriate actions and dispositions

 

Provides inspection support as needed to maintain through put and processing of product

 

Job Scope:

Supporting the QA Manager and aiding the Production Groups in manufacturing products which meet internal goals, while meeting and or exceeding customer quality and delivery expectations.

 

Supervisory Responsibility:

Supervise and assist in the training of inspectors and other employees with skills ranging from entry level to highly skilled                      

 

Answer questions, provide guidance, assist in resolving issues and act as liaison between the Quality Department and other departments

 

Develop employee work performance reviews

 

Assign inspection staff work schedules and track attendance

 

Maintain workable environment "housekeeping" - 5 S's

 

Interpersonal Contacts: 

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a diverse community.

 

Specific Job Skills:

Possesses well developed analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to identify problems, and initiate corrective actions and preventative actions.

 

Requirements

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

5 years experience in manufacturing is required. Aerospace preferred.

Must have supervisory experience. Computer literate.
