CNC Programmer
We are looking for a strong CNC Programmer for our 1st shift at our facility in Lake Zurich, IL. They will be working from 7:00AM to 3:30PM, Monday through Friday and making anywhere from $28 to $32p/hour. The ideal candidate would have 5+ years of experience. A few must haves are:
- 5+ years of experience of programming CNC Mills and Lathes utilizing MasterCam.
- Strong knowledge of CNC controls: Fanuc, Okuma, Mori Seiki, Haas
- Modify existing CNC machining programs to standardize and improve processes, working from work orders, routers, prints, program file SPC procedures, job procedures, machine manuals and instructions.
- Design tools and fixtures as necessary to meet machining needs and to improve existing and for new operations.
- Select and load program during initial testing, make modification to program and make necessary machine feed, speed and axis point adjustments while maintaining compliance to ISO 9001 standards. Ensure that all changes made at the machine are written into the program.
- Troubleshoot problems, respond to alarm, retrace program to locate problem and make necessary corrections and updating documentation as required by the Quality Management System (MMS). May involve other engineers, as needed.
- Write tooling requests for new or modified products.
- Document and record changes to programs and/or processes
- Keep abreast of changing technologies in the field.
- Knowledge of manufacturing tooling and processes.
- Assist in maintaining tool room with Manufacturing Supervisor.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Good written and verbal communication
- Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)
- Strong knowledge of trigonometry and mathematics
- Advanced blueprint reading
- Advanced understanding of GD&T
- Knowledge of ferrous and/or non-ferrous materials
- Strong knowledge of speeds and feeds for various alloysls
- Ability to machine tight tolerance. +/-.0001 to +/-.0005
- Strong G and M code knowledge and tooling and insert knowledge
