Diesel Tech - Open to A,B and C- Level Techs

2nd Shift: 12;00pm - 8:30pm Mon-Fri
Pay/Number needed. (1)
Could be:
A-Level $26-$30 PH (1)
B- Level $25-$27 PH (1)
C- Level $23-$25 - Could be 1 year out of Trade school (1)
OT: OT is paid while contractor is employed by Launch. After hired and the contractor becomes a direct employee. There is no OT.
Differential: No shift differential until hired directly.
Technician Sign-on Bonus of $5,000 is paid out in 2 installments
$2500 (grossed up) 1st paycheck after 30 days of employment after conversion to direct
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a diesel mechanic
- Tools
- Must pass BG, DT and MVR.
- Must have clean MVR and be able to obtain CDL after 90 days.
**Non DOT drug test for non CDL holders & DOT drug test for CDL holders***
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
50/50 Tractor -Trailer
Volvo, International and Internal Detroit series 60
•Able to perform proper Preventive Maintenance - lube, filters, inspection – includes truck appearance, interior and exterior, cab related, safety, security
•Basic electrical – repair and replace starters/alternators/batteries
•Tires – tread, inflation, rotation, wear, recondition wheels
•Inspect & replace basic engine components
•Proficient at brake diagnostic/repair& replace/adjustments
•Inspect & replace drive line components
•Remove and replace transmission and clutch (R&R)
•Advanced and continually upgrading tools
•Valve and injector adjustments
•Remove and replace steering & chassis components
•Basic welding & cutting

Requirements Job Related & Physical Requirements
1 - 3 + years of Experience
•Must be able to lift 50lbs
•Must have valid drivers license with acceptable driving record (CDL preferred)
- Will need to obtain a CDL within the first 120 days of being employed
•Own necessary basic tools.
Electrical experience
Computer skills a plus, tech will be required to do their own paperwork
