Shipping Clerk

We are currently looking to hire a full time shipping clerk on the 1st shift in Itasca, IL. This position pays $14 to $15/hour to start and can interview and start ASAP. Candidates must have 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience and be able to operate a sit-down forklift. 

• Experience driving a sit-down forklift, not main part of job but will utilize over time.
• Ability to work as a team with other shipping personnel as well as receiving personnel;
• Ability to read a pick list and pull material from designated locations;
• Willing to learn and take instruction from experienced members of the shipping team;
• Work in a fast-paced environment;
• Capable of working overtime as needed;
• Ability to learn by pulling smaller orders and working up to larger ones;
• Must be on time for daily schedule and adhere to daily scheduled work hours;
• Must be able to interact with office personnel that work with Shipping daily;
• Ability to work with truck drivers to handle daily loading;
• Able to work with 55-gallon and 30-gallon drums;
• Able develop a familiarity with our processes quickly and be capable of working independently, a self-starter;
• Willingness to potentially learn new duties as well as cross-training in other areas.
• Experience working in an ERP System or Warehouse Management Software;
• Experience with Microsoft software;
• Experience working with scan guns;
• Experience working in Receiving;
• Experience working with inventory control through cycle counts;
• Experience dealing with trucking companies and getting quotes;
• Experience typing information into computer generated forms
