Production Control Manager
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Production Control Manager for an opportunity in Valencia, CA.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Production Control Manager supervises the scheduling, planning and procurement activities for the manufacturing unit to ensure timely and cost effective release of work to various manufacturing areas
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures the completion of production work on schedule and the timely shipping of completed work. Follows up with planners and area supervisors on progress of orders.
- Identifies and coordinates the resolution of problems relating to shipping deadlines.
- Holds daily or weekly production meeting with production departments.
- Maintain excellent customer relations by ensuring excellent customer service and support, full communication with customers at all times is a MUST, delivery and follow up, etc
- Supervises and provides resource information and guidance to subordinates.
- Conducts on-the-job training.
Qualifications and requirements:
Five years experience planning and scheduling production jobs in a manufacturing environment.
A Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain is preferred.
- APICS certification a plus
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and procedures
- Knowledge of basic American Products Inventory Control Society (APICS) procedures
