Manufacturing Planner

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is looking for a manufacturing planner in Renton, WA.

Job Description:

The Planner will be responsible for analyzing lists of raw materials, purchased parts, equipment, and other items such as aircraft and aerospace products.

• Evaluate engineering drawings and blueprints to estimate quantity and type of other items required
• Convert requirements to orders of controversial sizes and quantities, considering factor such as existing inventories, unavoidable waste, and kind of material to be used.
• Review material lists for conformance to company standard practices in regard to parts and materials used. 
• Identify the reorder of supplies due to engineering changes during cycle.
• Will often confer with purchasing, engineering, planning and other personnel to exchange information regarding inventories, schedules, and other related issues.
• Read and understand drawings and specifications
• Update manufacturing methods and bill of materials
• Manage multiple projects effectively

Education/Experience

• 1 year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Skilled in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and MRP/ERP systems.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, as a well as strong organizational skills.
• Must have sufficient writing skills to prepare technical documents.
• Ability to read blueprints, scheduling experience and beginning to intermediate level of estimating
