Diesel Mechanic
LAUNCH TransTechs is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing and repairing brake systems, engines, electrical components, steering systems, transmissions and air conditioning systems on medium and heavy duty trucks and equipment in
Garden City Park, NY.
Shift: M - F, 8 am - 5 pm
Pay: $23-$27 per hour, depending on experience
Job Duties and Responsibilites:
- Perform diagnostic tests for routine maintenance procedures and determine course of action for damaged parts and systems.
- Repair malfunctioning components, adjust steering systems, engines, change brakes, service air conditioning systems and replace worn out parts.
- Maintain diesel equipment operations by completing inspections and preventative maintenance requirements by correcting vehicle deficiencies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-5 years diesel mechanic experience
- CDL and New York State Licensed Inspector are preferred
