Payroll Coordinator
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Payroll Coordinator with experience using the Ultipro payroll system for an opportunity in Jacksonville, Florida.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Processes the company’s salaried and hourly payroll in a timely, accurate and efficient manner while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and IRS payroll processing rules and regulations. Transmit payroll on a weekly basis and verify processing of the payroll. Perform routine payroll support duties in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Calculates employee hours worked and earnings.
- Processes the company’s salaried and hourly payroll in a timely, accurate and efficient manner while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and IRS payroll processing rules and regulations.
- Transmits payroll on a weekly basis and verifies processing of the payroll.
- Processes all payroll changes, including retroactively calculating changes when necessary.
- Provides analysis to various payroll-related reports, such as daily attendance reports, on premise reports, over-time accruals, etc., as requested.
- Checks payroll data and enters payroll data into the payroll system.
- Processes all payroll changes, including retroactively calculating changes when necessary.
- Maintains confidentiality and answers payroll questions from employees promptly and in a supportive, courteous manner.
- Provides input to management regarding planning, development and implementation of payroll functions.
- Prepares, verifies, and distributes regular and ad-hoc reports from the payroll system.
- Researches and verifies manual check requests.
- Audits payroll transactions as necessary.
- Investigates and troubleshoots unusual payroll-related issues or problems.
- Reconciles the payroll register against manually maintained documents (such as overtime approval sheets, employee change forms, etc.) and corrects erroneous postings.
- Transacts payroll-related documentation relating to hiring and termination of employees.
- Maintains payroll records, and files, sorts, processes, retrieves, and distributes documents as necessary.
- Reconcile Payrolls and general ledger
- Weekly payrolls analysis
- Keep reconcile tax variances between 941/94, Quarterly form and W3
- Payrolls accruals for end of month
Qualifications and requirements:
Minimum three (3) years of payroll experience required preferably with a third party payroll provider Ultipro.
- Position requires proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Advanced level skill in Excel
Associate’s degree in Accounting preferred.
- Fluent in English language required; Spanish preferred
- Certified by APA or a Certified Payroll Professional is highly desired.
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
