Production Manager
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Production Manager for an opportunity in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Production Manager manages and coordinates all manufacturing production.
Being responsible for day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure the highest level of efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery is always required.
Develop manufacturing processes and tooling to support production requirements.
Coordinating and scheduling the necessary personnel and shop resources for manufacturing of detail and assembly parts required for the fabrication of products, including working with other manufacturing shops and suppliers, ensuring personnel utilization is maximized.
Implement and sustain Aerosystems continuous improvement initiatives.
Setting department objectives, assigning projects, and evaluating work for content and conformity with FAA, customer, and customer requirements.
Maintaining knowledge and familiarity of FARs, PMAs, STCs, ADs, and related regulatory processes and systems.
Maintaining internal policies and procedures, monitoring their effectiveness, and making recommendations for their improvement.
Interviewing, selecting, evaluating and disciplining department employees according to policies and procedures.
Coordinating with customers, manufacturers, suppliers, and other outside agencies to promote and support business interests.
Providing support to Sales in developing customer proposals/quotes, and lead times.
Preparing and implementing department operating and capital budgets.
Providing financial analysis for profit and loss (P&L) of the production functions.
Qualifications and requirements:
Associates Degree in Technical or related scientific field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years manufacturing/production maintenance or related industry experience.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
Must possess good oral, written, and organizational skills.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Able to accurately read and interpret aircraft technical documents.
BS Degree in Engineering or related scientific field.
Experience in aerospace.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
