Composite Technician
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Composite Technician for an opportunity in Greensboro, NC.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Composite Specialist will perform composite activities including production and repairs within prescribed cycle-time/ budgeted time and to HCS standards of quality. Will perform final assemblies per engineering drawings and specification requirements.
- Manufacture interior parts and components utilizing engineering drawings and specifications.
- Promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and others to assure all duties are performed within the guidelines as specified by HCS policies and procedures.
- Perform basic and advanced functions of panel preparation, reading and interpreting of blueprints, engineering process and material specifications.
Qualifications and requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must be able to learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, repair manuals, etc.
- Proficient in use of hand tools such as drill motors, screw gun, die grinder and routers
- One (1) year shop experience in similar environment
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Subject to continual loud noises
- Visual acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, stand for prolonged periods of time; climb steps, ladders and/or service stands
- Must be able to wear and breathe through a respirator
- Must be able to safely work around hazardous chemicals, solvents, resins and adhesives
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
