N/A - Shop Supervisor/Lead Mechanic - Doraville, GA
Contract to Direct 200
Shift: 1st M-F 7am-5pm
Pay: $23 - $28
*** Will be Supervising and doing repairs, 50/50 of the time or so
Position Location
We are currently looking for an experienced mechanic supervisor to help lead our maintenance shop located in Doraville, GA
Primary Duties
Manage the day to day activity of the shop including inventory, supervision of employees and workload assignments.
Responsible for troubleshooting repairs and addressing issues, problems and discrepancies
Perform diesel repairs and maintenance, complete shop projects and assignments as required or requested by management.
Complete required data entry, reporting and paperwork requirements.
Assist and communicate with the Terminal Manager and Maintenance VP to ensure safety, efficiency and to promote the growth and success of the operation.
Lead and implement operational practices and policies to ensure compliance with governmental regulations, customer expectations and company standards
Promote clean and safe working conditions
Communicate and collaborate with vendors, other company terminals, departments and co-workers.
Experience & Requirements
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proficient computer and typing skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
Must be able to pass, to Bulkmatic's satisfaction, all pre-employment tests and checks
Must be able to perform basic math
Valid driver's license
At least 4 years of management or supervisory experience preferred
Heavy duty-diesel mechanic experience
Motivated to work independently and complete assignments
Education
Must have completed high school or equivalent education
Related certifications desired but not required
