Aircraft Structures Mechanic 2
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Structures mechanic 2 for an opportunity in Saint Augustine, FL
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of operations to assemble and make major assembly structures such as fuselage panels and bulkheads, and structural subassemblies such as rudders, flaps, and stabilizers. Aligns parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
- Performs such minor part-fitting operations as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. Measures parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
- May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure.
- May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Candidates should be already in the aircraft manufacturing industry.
- Experience should primarily be in structures; locating parts, drilling holes, installing rivets and other mechanical fasteners.
- The focus of the work history should be on structure work. Their prior work history with systems, hydraulics, rigging, and/or electrical means nothing for this position. If they do not have strong experience with strictly structural assembly, they do not qualify for this position.
Qualifications and requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED and 3-5 years of experience
- No Tools required
- Duties are clearly defined and methods and tasks are described in detail
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
