CNC Grinding Machinist

 

Seeking multiple CNC Grinding Machinist's for an opportunity in Arlington Heights on 1st Shift. This job is in a metal/steel fabrication shop that specializes in grinding and honing of parts. Looking for someone with a manufacturing background in operating and setting up CNC Grinding Machines. 3 to 4 years of experience preferred.

 

Shift: 6AM to 2:30PM. OT is a must, working close to 50 hours or more. Candidates will be training on 1st for a few weeks then changing to 2nd once caught up!

Pay:  Pay is depending on experience. Can start at $20 and go up to $30 p/hour

 

Description:

 

Independently perform machine set-up – small lot sizes and high variability in work orders
Grinding positions must be able to hold .0002" (or tighter) tolerance on machined parts
Read and interpret charts, drawings, and blueprints
Conduct first piece and in process inspection
Determine product specifications, i.e. dimensions, tolerances, etc.
Selects, mounts, attaches and calibrates a variety of attachments
Uses various gauges as required
Work in grinding coolants, cleaning fluids and oils
Work safely with minimum supervision
