HVAC Refrigeration Technician

 

We are currently hiring for HVAC Refrigeration Technician for our facility in Elk Grove Village, IL. We are a leading producer of Cryogenic Machinary for the Medical Industry. This will be a 1st Shift role, working from 6am to 3pm, Monday through Friday. Pay starts off at $$25 p/hour and can go as high as $30 depending on the interview and experience. Details:

Essential functions of the Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Improve productivity by reviewing overall work process.
  • Coldhead Repair to agreed daily schedule and performance standards.
  • Provide Technical Support for the customer.  Work with customers.
  • Provide on-site maintenance.
  • Compressor Repair to agreed daily schedule and performance standards.
  • Testing of SCAI cryogenic system components to agreed daily schedule and performance standards.
  • Receiving, shipping, and inventory control of SCAI cryogenic system components to agreed daily schedule and performance standards.
  • Must document test packets properly and clearly per the Quality Management System.
  • Maintain SCAI shop equipment to agreed daily schedule and performance standards, including cleanliness.
  • Ensure compliance with SCAI Quality Management System and Safety Manual.
  • Work to improve cost effectiveness of SCAI processes and procedures.
  • Must be able to utilize a personal computer and related software in English.
  • Must be able to use and care for mechanical instruments as well as tools.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possesses a working knowledge of cryo terminology, methods, practices, and techniques of both Coldhead and compressor maintenance and repair.
  • Have the capability to read, write, verbalize, understand, and take orders in English.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of sub-professional field and/or shop experience performing complex engineering assembly work preferred.

Education/Training/Certification/License:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED, supplemented by college level courses or equivalent vocational/technical institutional coursework in mathematics, engineering and/or mechanical engineering.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License at the time of appointment and to be maintained as a condition of continued employment.

 Physical Requirements

  • Able to bend over while lifting heavy objects (minimum 55 pounds) at the same time.
