Materials Engineer
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Materials Engineers for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Materials and Process engineers have primary responsibility to develop and maintain standards for aircraft, engine, and APU materials and processes.
Qualifications and requirements:
- 5+ years experience with writing standard processes and developing consumable material standards within the Material & Process Standardization area of an OEM, airline, or aircraft overhaul facility is preferred.
- Must be project oriented and have good communication, organization and interpersonal skills with minimal supervision; and be experienced with automation software, i.e., MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access
- 4 year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Materials, Chemistry/CHE, Mechanical, Aerospace) from an accredited school is preferred.
- Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
