About the job
We operate a fleet of over (500) Freightliners. The trailer mechanic is primarily responsible for body repairs and preventative maintenance on the fleet. This is a full time, Monday – Friday role (7am – 4pm), with additional hours as volume demands. Excellent pay and benefits for a qualified candidate.
Duties & Essential Job Functions
- Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts
- Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs equipment; prepares orders lists; records materials used and time spent
- Performs metal and fiberglass repairs, and specializes in fixing external bodywork on fleet
- Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing winterization procedures
- Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Performs other related duties as required

- Two or more years experience working on class 8 trucks with body-specific repair experience
- Clean driver’s license
