Customer Service Associate

We are currently looking for a 1st shift Customer Service Associate to join our team in Wood Dale.  Our company is a large ink machine/cartridge manufacturer and distributor for custom label printing machines. Pay is $30-$40p/hour and this will be a long term role. This candidate will be able to work remote, but if they choose they can work from the HQ in Wood Dale as well. This role can interview and start as soon as possible.

Shift: 8AM to 5PM, Monday to Friday. Working remote or in the office. If in the office, you are required to follow Covid protocals. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• • Track and trace all outbound shipments from suppliers, Zhuhai, Wood Dale and Elk Grove (international shipments) by working with carriers and freight forwarder
  • Escalate freight and expediting issues with carriers/ freight forwarder to ensure the continuous flow of materials from the vendor to end destination
  • Communication with internal sites and carriers to confirm pickup of loads and delivery of loads from China to end destination and US to end destination
  • Provides prompt and accurate shipment information to inquiries. Arranges and coordinates order changes and or expediting requests promptly (keep track of these issues when it opens and closes with revenue impact and report out daily)
  • Provides follow-up on expediting requests as required.
  • Contacts truck, carriers or brokers to confirm receipt of shipments, monitor shipments in progress and updates buyers accordingly.
  • Tracks lost or mis-shipped shipments contacting carriers and follows up to resolve open issues
