PLM Solutions Manager
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a PLM Solutions Manager in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Job Summary:
The PLM (Project Lifecycle Management) Manager is responsible for managing operations of CAD / PLM systems and for proposing, analyzing, planning and executing process and technology changes to improve business performance and standardization. The role includes the technical design of CAD/PLM architecture, interfaces, data security, data integrity, business reports and system performance.
Essential Job Duties:
- Manage team of CAD/PLM administrators to ensure high availability to users in all regions
- Maintain the strategic and tactical 3-year plans for CAD/PLM growth and improvements
- Analyze hardware/software options and design solutions to meet global availability requirements
- Develop business justifications for CAD/PLM process and technology improvement initiatives
- Execute Value Stream Mapping or lean analysis of critical performance areas
- Project manage IT and business elements of upgrades and enhancement projects following standard SDLC processes
- Manage and report status of project budgets, schedules, and resource requirements
- Define, develop, and manage data flow performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities
- Build and maintain automated CAD/PLM performance test articles and benchmark performance
- Act as primary liaison with business users to author best practices, standards, and operating procedures
- Develop and manage CAD/PLM skillset assessments and training programs
- Coordinate evaluation of new CAD/PLM product releases and supplementary modules
- Maintain data model and item master rulebook alignment with ERP systems
- Manage CAD/PLM user-base tracking & license compliance
Minimum Requirements:
- BS Degree in Engineering, Information Technology or Business, or equivalent industry experience
- 4+ years’ experience of business operating processes, preferably aerospace, with associated knowledge of engineering, planning, and manufacturing methods
- 4+ years’ experience with managing CAD/PLM systems and technical resources
- 4+ years’ experience of CAD/PLM project management and business justifications
- Proven track record of extending 3D use beyond design engineering
- Proven ability to organize and present operational or project status to leadership levels
- Adept at using advanced problem-solving skills and lean process improvement methods
- Experienced with training business users in new processes and technologies
- Advanced use of Excel or other related software for trend analysis and generation of metrics
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Domestic travel may be required approximately 10% annually
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
