Aircraft Technician

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Entry Level Aircraft Technicians for an opportunity in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in retrieving information from customer, manufacturer and FAA technical data
  • Repair and assemble aircraft equipment according to manufacturer manuals and approved supplements
  • Comply with FAA and company policies and procedures
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of work orders
  • Perform routine and non-routine tasks independently
  • Maintain work area clean and free of debris, which may interfere with the proper function of any units undergoing maintenance
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment
  • Ensure and maintain company tools and equipment in service standard, report any damaged tools and equipment to Station Manager/Supervisor
  • Safeguard system security requirements related to the electronic recordkeeping system regarding their area of responsibility and in accordance with our RSQCM
  • Provide feedback/suggestion to improve customer satisfaction
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Station Manager/Supervisor

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Ability to work in a high activity/fast paced environment while managing associated stress.
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrates ability to manage processes
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Speak, read, write with confident understanding of the English language
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff. Experience
  • Entry level mechanical/industrial ability. Skills and Knowledge
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push in excess of 65 lbs
  • Ability to read technical publications and drawings
  • Competent in using of hand tools
  • Ability to interface with computers
  • Some Microsoft Office Skills is preferable
  • Forklift License is preferable
  • General knowledge of aviation regulations is preferable
  • Must have the minimum tools as required.
  • Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
  • Must be willing to work any shift.
  • Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
