Traffic Coordinator

We are currently looking for a 1st shift Traffic Coordinator to join our team in Elk Grove Village.  Our company is a large ink machine/cartridge manufacturer and distributor for custom label printing machines. Pay is $25p/hour and this will be a long term role. This candidate will be required to work on site and greet and support the Wood Dale HQ's. This role can interview and start as soon as possible.

Shift: 8AM to 5PM, Monday to Friday. Working out of the office.

Position Purpose:

Responsible for the daily shipping documentation function for both domestic and international shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain rates and pro numbers/airway bill numbers for all shipments.
• Create domestic dangerous good certifications.
• Maintain hard copy files on all shipments.
• Interface with both International and Domestic Customer Service concerning transportation and sales order issues.
• Confirm shipped orders to generate invoices for accounting.
• Generate all necessary documentation needed to distribute supplies domestically and internationally using all modes of transportation.
• Tracing of shipments as necessary.
• Communicate order status updates to Customer Service as required.
• Alert Customer Service when shipments are refused or returned due to damage in order to generate an RMA and replacement order as necessary.

• Achieve and maintain certifications in hazardous materials handling and transportation (IATA/DOT).
• Support daily KPI objectives and maintain 5S.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education Required:  High School diploma or GED.

Work Experience:                                                                                                                                                           

• 2 – 5 years transportation experience.

Knowledge/Skills Required:                                                                                                                                                        

• Proficiency in Oracle Order Entry.
• PC skills including MS Office.
