Composite Technician
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Composit Technician with composite, autoclave, and oven experience for an opportunity in Memphis, TN.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Composite Technicians will perform vacuum bagging and related processes for fabrication and curing composite parts, and perform structural bonding operations using film adhesives, core materials, and foaming adhesives
Qualifications and requirements:
- 3+ years of experience working with Composite Materials.
- FAA A&P or Airframe license preferred.
- General Knowledge of practices and procedures used to fabricate and repair composite and metal bonded structures.
- Ability to read and correctly interpret SRM, CMM and schematics.
- Ability to use precision instruments such as calipers and micrometers in order to trim or drill parts
- Ability to calculate proper proportions of resins and catalysts as required by specifications.
- Self-motivated, quick learner.
- Strong attention to detail.
Must be flexible and able to work independently.
- Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
