Quality Engineer
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Quality Engineer for an opportunity in Sumner, Washington.
Position Summary:
- The Quality Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and directing development inspection techniques and documentation of new and existing programs and products as assigned within SEKISUI Quality departments at all facilities.
- Essential functions, including how an individual is to perform them and the frequency with which the tasks are performed; the tasks must be part of the job function and truly necessary or required to perform the job.

- Active participation in company Zero Defects program – involvement in developing solutions to process issues that create scrap/MRB/rework. Consult with management, QA, and engineering personnel on better operational procedures to improve overall efficiency and product yields, including leadership of improvement-based projects.
- Implementing changes directly related to inspection activities and part processing through company change processes. Creation and validation (or delegation) of CMM programs, troubleshooting and analysis of rejects/failures and generation of documentation pertaining to AS9100 and NADCAP requirements. Assist with FAI and inspection activities for products and tools as requested by site QA managers.
- Implementing and utilizing AS9100 Quality Management processes to ensure that our products are manufactured to meet the dimensions, specifications, quality and any other features or requirements specified by our customers.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities pertaining to customer feedback, management, manufacturing, and supply chain processes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
2-years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining perspective
Strong and collaborative relationships with upper management, peers and production team members
Direct problem solving, searches for root cause and addresses issues
Addresses conflict directly and works to resolve differences proactively
