CNC Machine Operator
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for an entry level opportunity in Wilmington, Ohio.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate CNC and manual metal cutting saws in support of manufacturing aircraft and non-aircraft parts including tooling. Read and understand manufacturing planning, obtain materials, set –up work on machines, cut materials, accomplish first piece inspections, debur and sand parts, and perform chemical conversion coating. Perform general and routine equipment maintenance, and general housekeeping as required. Work directly with Machinists/CNC Programmers and shop personnel to fabricate required parts. Assist other manufacturing areas as needed.
Qualifications and requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Experience with Mastercam® CAD/CAM software, FARO® CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), and Polyworks® 3D Metrology software
- Working knowledge of process improvement methodology and application (i.e., Six Sigma, Lean Principles)
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Preferred Job Skills:
• Some experience in a manufacturing shop operating CNC and manual metal cutting equipment and hand tools.
• Effectively speak, read, and write in the English language.
• Must be able to read, understand Engineering drawings and manufacturing work instructions, and measure parts using basic precision measuring inspection tools and gauges.
• Must be able to operate Band Saw, saws, drills, and hand tools.
• Ability to set-up machines and fabricate parts.
• Ability to troubleshoot machine problems and perform preventative maintenance as required
• Basic saw, cold saw, band saw and milling machine operating experience.
• Basic computer skills (PC, E-mail, labor entry)
• Sheet metal cutting/shearing experience.
• Forklift operator experience
