Technician II
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Technician II for an opportunity in Louisville, CO.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Apply technical skills and knowledge to fabricate composite components which may include bond prep, tool prep, ply kit generation, vacuum bagging, loading parts into oven/autoclave, autoclave operation, de-tooling, trimming, finishing, core processing, integration, bond work, and other composite fabrication processes as required
Operation of autoclaves, ovens, automated cutting tables, specialized hand tools, and general machine shop equipment for composites finishing
Use of hand tools, power tools, layup and assembly tooling and general manufacturing equipment
Perform casting or cutting of materials to fabricate manufacturing aids as required
Verify work to ensure a defect free part prior to presenting to quality control (inspection)
Experience in reading and interpreting work instructions, specifications, sketches, job travelers, planning documents and engineering drawings
Apply solid computer skills to access & input data via computer interface or automated equipment
Employee will be required to handle regulated and hazardous wastes and materials
Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the company FOD and 5S programs, and comply with all safety regulations
Work within integrated, multi-discipline teams
Must-haves:
Experience with advanced composite materials such as prepregs with various resin systems
Experience working with metallic and non-metallic honeycomb core products
Experience working with primers, sealers and release agents for layup tool preparation
Experience with composite vacuum bagging materials, processes and techniques
Knowledge of clean room procedures
Ability to rapidly work with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large engineering teams
Previous experience and skills in project definition, simulation, implementation, lab integration and test
Must be able to work in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment with emphasis in rapid prototyping
