Interiors Commodity Engineer
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Interiors Commodity Engineer for an opportunity in Seattle, WA.
The Aerospace Engineer- Interiors position is responsible for supporting the design, testing and certification of aircraft interior equipment and furnishing. This role requires extensive coordination both externally and internally, proactiveness and ability to work both independently and as a team player.
Scope of Work
- Responsible engineer for assigned Equipment/Furnishing components and associated Espec, SCD, ICM releases.
- Support program milestones from a/c interiors development through to EIS.
- Support qualification, company and certification test plans and reports.
- Coordinate with suppliers to review technical data, requirements and troubleshoot any issues.
- Integrate between supplier, certification team, installation designers and other system specialists.
- Provides specialized technical assistance to team members.
- Provides technical solutions to a wide range of challenges and opportunities
- Works under limited supervision
- Acts as liaison with other teams, internally and externally, including suppliers. Ensure communication channels are world-class.
- Improves tools and processes for improved effectiveness/continual improvement
- All tasks required to perform above activities are considered within work scope; initiating/ reviewing related documents, discussion with people concerned
- Other duties as assigned.
5. Job Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Aerospace or Mechanical), or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 years in the Interiors technical discipline or 5 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelor.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience participating on a type certification program (preferred). Strong Communication skills and proactive mindset desirable.
- Software: CATIA V5, ENOVIA, Team center
- Experience with insulation and/or linings is an advantage.
- Good Engineering knowledge/foundation.
