LAUNCH is a leading aviation staffing company that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their finance team in their Oak Brook office. The Staff Accountant is responsible for working with the accounting team in creating accurate and timely financial statements while upholding the company’s standards and culture. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will be highly visible to the and other members of the senior leadership team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preparing and documenting journal entries for routine business transactions
• Reviewing and reconciling the general ledger
• Assisting the Chief Financial Officer in month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Providing support to outside accountants during annual financial audit
• Preparing financial statements and footnotes for annual audited financial statements
• Preparing bank reconciliations
• Tracking and reconciling major expenses
• Performing periodic audits of time and expense reports
• Documenting standard operating procedures for all accounting processes
• Assisting the Chief Financial Officer with research and adoption of new accounting standards
• Assisting the Chief Financial Officer with other ad-hoc projects as needed
• Assist in the due diligence and accounting integration of acquired companies
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
2. Must be 21 years of age
3. 2 - 3 years in an accounting role
4. CPA preferred
